DESCRIPTION

The nature of today’s game is highly demanding. A fast paced and high-intensity sport, with a considerable amount of player-to-player contact. While the players suffer a good deal of punishment, the dasher boards take on even more abuse. Your rink boards are an important, if not the most critical, component for maintaining game play and ensuring the safety of the players and fans.

IF YOU WISH TO ADD WEIGHT

Each 8 ft straight panels weight approximately 135 lbs and each portable bracing panel weights approximately 54 lbs.

Always set up your system first and if you require additional weight, you may add it to each portable bracing panel through the specially designed hole (with screw cap). ONLY use pea gravel as other options may compact and be stuck inside the bracing panel for good. Pea gravel is a small, smooth, rounded stone roughly the size of a garden pea (about 3/8 inch). It typically comes in a 60 lb bag from your local big box hardware store. Your goal should be to utilize the least amount of pea gravel to achieve your desired overall weight goal. You may wish to consider starting with 10 lbs of pea gravel per portable bracing panel and testing the entire system once all of the bracing panels have been filled with 10 lbs each. If necessary, add 10 more lbs to each bracing panel and test again. Note: Do not add more than 60 lbs into any one bracing panel.

SETUP

Permanent installation and upper containment typically take 32 labor hours (or 4 workers at 8 hours or one work day). Once you have completed the process of setting up and/or disassembling your ProWall hockey rink boards, future installation should take significantly less time. If you choose our Portable Boundary System (temporary option for pick-up play), it will take approximately one hour to assemble for the first time. Of course, with both options, installation time will be dependent on how many workers you have helping you.
