Bauer's Nexus Freeze Pro skates are the answer to the need for top-end features at an affordable price. With the boot based off the Nexus N2900, Bauer's 2018 second-in-line, the Freeze Pros include high-end upgrades from the top-of-the-line Nexus 2N, making it a completely affordable skate. High-level players don't have to pay high-level prices.
The enhancements from the N2900's 3-D fiber composite construction begins at what touches the ice — Black LS3 steel replaces the N2900's LS1 steel, making for a longer edge life and a better grip on the ice. Move slightly up the skate and you'll find a composite outsole, which is more lightweight and benefits players with strong strides than the N2900's fiber composite outsole.
Move inside the skate and you'll find a Hydra Max liner, which vastly improves on the N2900's hydrophobic mesh liner. This creates more breathability and adds a lot more comfort during play. The 2N tongue, which is made of 2-piece felt and includes a high-density metatarsal guard, allows for an improved angle flex to get going quicker, while keeping you extremely protected from incoming shots or slashes.
Rounding out the skate are the still-impressive traits from the N2900. Lightweight memory foam surrounds the ankles for an improved feel from foot-to-skate, while the Form-Fit footbed supports your foot to maintain a comfortable stride. The TUUK Lightspeed Edge holder improves your turning radius and allows you to remain protected during all in-game situations.
